Don’t get mad, get plaid.

Pumpkins and plaid go hand in hand.  When pumpkin pops up everywhere (coffee, beer, dessert), so does plaid.  Who doesn’t have an oversized flannel?… Everyone in my house does, including the pugs.

Plaid Pug

Plaid falls right into the punk trend this year.  You can instantly turn a flannel punk by adding moto boots or a moto jacket… fierce.  Here’s how to werq the plaid fad.

Plaid Looks

Mary Kate Olsen – This is one of my fave looks ever.  I love how rugged everything is, yet MK still looks chic.

Emma Watson – The leather jacket keeps this dress from being a little too Christmas-y.

Jessica Alba – Girlfriend can werq the shizz out of a casual look.  When rocking a plaid pant, keep everything else simple.

There’s a plaid out there for everyone.

Shirt – Faux leather trim toughens this blouse up.  You can wear it casually with leggings and boots, or to work tucked into a pencil skirt.  This blouse is from Target for $24.99… but I saw it on sale, in store.

Skirt – A peplum is flattering on everyone.  You can order this skirt from Forever 21 for $11.80, sweet deal.

Scarf – Bleach gives this scarf an understated feel.  It won’t overwhelm you, which makes it versatile.  You can find this scarf at Urban Outfitters for $29.

Dress – I love a patterned classic.  Plaid puts a twist on this basic dress.  This unique piece can be scored at Modcloth for $67.99.

Gets ta shoppin.
