I love a breakfast smoothie.
Especially one made with green tea. Green tea wakes you up, and it’s pretty much amazing for you. I like to make batches of green tea ice cubes, so I can toss them into all kinds of shizz.
It takes like 5 minutes to turn out some green ice.
Boil your water, throw a few tea bags in, and pour into an ice cube tray.
I use these ice cubes in smoothies, tea, and cocktails. Here’s how to make my fave smoothie…
Put the following into a blender/smoothie maker:
- A handful of green tea cubes
- A handful of blackberries
- A handful of blueberries
- 1/2 (or 1 tbsp) scoop of soy protein
- 1 cup of coconut water or almond milk
- A large drizzle of honey
Blend until smooth.
It may not be green, but I still consider it a green tea smoothie. When in doubt, smooth it out.
