I can’t believe it’s already time to get your preak on…

Healthy Summer CocktailPreakness is a big ass deal where I live, so having the perfect cocktail is a must.  My cocktail of choice tomorrow (and the rest of summer) is going to be full of lemon and lavendar deliciousness.  You can infuse this drink wayyy ahead of time, which makes things super easy when serving large quantities.  Enough talk, here’s how to turn out lazy lemon drop realness.

You’ll need Limoncello

Lavendarand sparkling water.  You’ll also need a sealable pitcher, mason jar, or bowl.  Limoncello essentially is a lazy lemon drop, you could make a bunch of lemon drops instead (1-2 wedges of lemon per vodka shot)… but squeezing lemons sucks, and it’s time consuming.

Summer Drinks

Start off by putting fresh-cut lavender in your container, then pour the entire bottle of Limoncello over it.  Seal the container, and store it in a cool dry place for 1 – 3 days.  The longer you let it sit, the more lavender-y the Limoncello will be.

Summer Cocktail

When you’re ready to serve, rim each glass with sugar.  Pour 1-2 ounces (1-2 shots) of the Lavlimoncello over ice, and fill the rest of the glass up with sparkling water.  Garnish with a fresh sprig of mint.  This is one of my fave cocktails ever, it’s light, refreshing, and only 100 calories… if that.  One ounce of Limoncello is around 103 calories, sparkling water and lavender are zero.  This is the perfect thing to drink on a hot summer day.

When life gives you lemons…
