Every year after July 4, I get stuck in a rut. I want to start wearing fall clothes but it’s still hot outside. Although it’s too early to rock fall realness, it’s the best time to stock up on cardi’s and sweaters. You can find last years stuff on major clearance, I just scored two sweaters from Victoria’s Secret for $9.99 a piece and they’re regularly like $69. Right now you can start thinking about what you need (want), what you have, and how to make things work from summer to fall.
I love sundresses paired with tights, booties, and sweaters. Sundresses are majorly marked down everywhere right now. If you’re going to be buying sundresses, look for darker patterns… dark florals, brown, greens. Here’s a few affordable pieces that will help take your summer wardrobe to fall.
Camel might be my fave color, it matches with everything. Camel cardigans help fallify little summer dresses. It doesn’t matter if they’re cropped, long, fitted, or slouchy. You can find both of these cardigans online at H&M. The smaller one with buttons is only $14.95, and the slouchy one is $34.95. I love the look of a longer cardi with short dresses.
Sometimes sweaters can feel a little too casual. Adding a statement necklace instantly takes them to the next level. I like the look of long pearls with floral prints, and statement necklaces with everything else. Forever21 has a sickening collection of stylish jewelry and it’s so freaking cheap. Both of these necklaces are from Forever 21, the pearls are $12.80 and the statement necklace is only $9.80.
Towards the end of summer, booties are perfection. Booties make everything look stylish, and they make sundresses look edgy. You can find inexpensive booties everywhere from Target to Charlotte Russe. Both of these booties can be found at Old Navy. The lighter pair is $42.94 while the darker pair is $39.94… total steal.
I can’t wait for fall ♡
