This time of year being cozy is a must.
I’m loving all things nautical right now…
Stripes, gold/brass detailing, rope, knots… I’m into it all. Nautical styled pieces are classic, so they never go out of style. Everything I’ve been gravitating towards lately is navy blue, or striped. The best thing about nautical, is that you can find it everywhere. Here’s a few of my fave affordable items.
This dress is adorbs. It’s fun, and the silhouette is perfection. This would look sickening with a sleek pony and flats. You can order this dress from Modcloth for $34.99… but it’s only available in XS at the moment.
I love a summer scarf. It can be chilly on summer mornings, and evenings (especially if you’re rockin a sunburn). A light scarf is the perfect way to accessorize a little sundress. This one is available at Forever 21 for $8.80, and it also comes in grey and pink.
I like this tee because it’s not obnoxiously sailor… like little shorts with anchors all over them. It’s an effortless way to werq a pencil skirt, add a gold statement necklace for the office. This tee is from American Eagle, and it can be yours for $22.95
Sailor studs… that totally sounds like a porno. Anyway, these studs are worth the money because you can wear them every day. I found these on Piperlime for $48, but you can probably find dupes at Forever 21 or Amazon.
Set sail hunty ♡
I love fur, faux rizzle.
Fur is glamorous, warm, and luxurious. I feel like freakin Elizabeth Taylor when I wear fur… even if it’s totally fake. It’s trés simple to turn out a faux fur scarf…
You’ll need 1-2 yards of fur trim, and fabric scissors. Measure the trim to length that you would like. It looks good both long, and short.
Use fabric scissors to cut a small hole on one side of the trim. The hole needs to be large enough to fit the other side of the trim through. Mess around with it, you may have to adjust it. I ended up cutting mine shorter, and making a new hole.
Wham, bam, über glam.

I have no self-control, I decided to sign up for another subscription… fabfitfun.
FFF is $49.99 per season, so you get four boxes yearly. I know Giuliana Rancic has something to do with FFF, so I figured the products have to be good. My first box arrived this week (so exciting!), here’s what I got…
Gorjana Scarf, $57
J’adore grey and pink together, it flatters all skin tones. This scarf is something that can be worn throughout the year. It’s lightweight, but there’s enough fabric to keep you warm. The scarf has the ability to be dressed up or down, and you can tie it a hundred different ways. I also got a promo code for $25 off my next purchase at gorgana-griffin. I know I won’t use this, so if anyone wants to, the code is FBF_R6X7… it’s good for a one time use, not applicable with other offers, promos, or sale items.
Surface Trinity Protein Cream, $24
I feel like I just got my hair did whenever I use this. It tames frizz immediately, and makes my hair soft. The protein cream is thick, you don’t need to use much. One or two sprays is perfect. The bottle is cute too.
Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Cleansing Foam, $28
I was really surprised at how big this was (that’s what she said, I know). Seriously though, this is like the best morning cleanser ever. Something about a citrus-y scent gently wakes me up. The bottle says to use three pumps when washing your face, but I only need one… maybe I have a really small face. This isn’t something that I’d generally buy, so I’m happy with it.
SpaRitual “I Feel The Earth Move” Nail Lacquer, $12
I’ve never used vegan nail polish before, so I was a little nervous. After looking at the bottle, I thought this shade was going to be a chocolate brown… but when I put it on my nails, it was more of an oxblood. The polish was easy to apply, but you def need two coats. The color changed drastically after applying a second coat. I like the polish, but it chips easily.
Starlooks “Copenhagen” Eyeshadow Palette, $41
I love this palette. The colors are perfection, and so is the mix of shimmery + matte shades. I’ve been using this palette every day. You can create a ton of different looks ranging from a no makeup face, to a dramatic smokey eye.
Barre3 Standing Slim DVD, $19.95
I like to do 30 minute pilates or yoga workouts before I get ready for work in the morning… so I was really excited about this. When I did the workout, I thought it relatively easy (until 20 minutes in). Then I woke up the next morning, and my legs really hurt. Barre is my kind of workout, love it.
Orville Redenbacher Popcorn, $2.18
I love a healthy snack. How cute are these pop up bowls?… so cute. I liked getting this in my box, it’s way better than granola bars.
Health Warrior Chia Bar, $1.57
I like greek yogurt with chia seeds, and I like the packaging of this bar… it looks fancy. However, I despise coconut. I’m not going to try this, coconut makes me gag.
Well, this is exciting. I like to indulge in a cocktail (or 7), and being hungover sucks… especially at work. I haven’t tried these yet, but I’m excited to see if they work. The only thing is, that you have to take a packet (3 pills) with water after your last drink (and a packet before you start drinking). If I’m toasted, I’m not going to remember that… and if I do, I’m probably going to take the pills with wine or beer. Good idea, but six pills is a lot.
My reveal card says that I should have a mini game pack, but I didn’t have that in my box. Luckily, I don’t care about a mini game pack because the only game that I play is who would you rather. The total value of my FFF box is $188.65, and I paid $49.99… that’s a good ass deal. Overall, I’m really happy with FFF and I can’t wait for the winter box.
I love fall scarves, and I cannot lie.
You other brothers can’t deny, when a girl walks in wit an itty bitty waist, and some fabric round’ her face… you get sprung. Yeah, I do too. I love a scarf. Scarves can get you through a bad hair day, a bad outfit day, or just any day in general. They’re always functional, comfortable, and gorge. It’s easy to make a unique infinity scarf from an old dress or shirt. Start off with an old dress/shirt.
Cut a thick strip off of the bottom of your dress/shirt. I like my strip to be about one foot long. My dress happened to have pockets, so I cut them off. You could probably stitch them shut, but I l ike to do things that require the least amount of work possible.
Turn the fabric inside out, fold the jagged edges over, and use fabric glue to secure them. Flip your scarf back once the glue dries (so it’s facing the right way). I like to use different things to accent each scarf. With this particular scarf, I decided to use strips of faux leather to cover up the seams. You can also use a brooch, beads, plain old thread, or even ribbon. Cinch the scarf at the seam, wrap a strip of fabric around, and use fabric glue to secure (in the back). Repeat this on the other side.
I’m obsessed with anything camel colored. It’s so hot right now.
